Step into the spotlight at Voices of Hope 2026, an exciting live singing competition in Maryville, Tennessee, hosted by Maryville Music Academy and Sound Chamber Records in support of the Estelle Martin Music Foundation.

This high-energy event brings together singers of all ages and skill levels for an unforgettable night of live performance, competition, and purpose. Whether you're an aspiring young vocalist or a seasoned performer, this is your chance to shine on stage while making a difference.

Contestants will compete in three age divisions—ages 8–12, 13–18, and adult—with only 10 spots available in each category. Performers will take the stage in front of a live audience and a panel of three judges, competing for prizes in their division and the opportunity to advance to the final round for the title of Grand Champion.

More than just a singing competition, Voices of Hope helps change lives. All proceeds support the Estelle Martin Music Foundation, providing music lesson scholarships, instruments, and mentorship to foster children, military families, and at-risk youth.

Age Divisions (Limited Availability)

Each category is limited to 10 contestants:

  • Ages 8–12 (Spots fill quickly)
  • Ages 13–18 (Spots fill quickly)
  • Adult 18+ (Spots fill quickly)

Entry Fee

  • $10 per contestant
  • All proceeds go to support music scholarships for children in need

Prizes

  • 1st Place in each division
  • 2nd Place in each division

  • Grand Champion Title (selected from division winners)

What You Need to Prepare

  • Two songs (3–4 minutes)
  • Clean instrumental backing tracks (no vocals of any kind)
    OR
  • Acoustic guitar or keyboard accompaniment only (advanced notice needed)
  • A second song prepared in advance if selected for the Grand Champion sing-off

Performance Guidelines

  • Each contestant will prepare two songs (2nd if 1st place winner in age category for Grand Champion Round)
  • Songs must be appropriate for a family-friendly audience
  • Performances must be 3–4 minutes in length max
  • Backing tracks must contain no lead or background vocals
  • Only acoustic guitar or keyboard accompaniment is allowed
  • No bands or multiple accompanists permitted

Judging Criteria

Contestants will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on:

  • Vocal Ability & Technique (tone, control, breath support)
  • Pitch Accuracy (staying on key and in tune)
  • Timing & Rhythm (staying in tempo with the music)
  • Stage Presence & Confidence (connection, expression, performance quality)
  • Song Choice & Overall Performance

Official Rules

  • Contestants must compete in their correct age division
  • Registration is required and spots are first-come, first-served
  • Entry fees are non-refundable
  • Contestants must arrive on time and be ready to perform
  • Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification
  • Judges’ decisions are final
  • Maryville Music Academy and Sound Chamber Records reserves the right to make adjustments if necessary
